Who we are
A tribute that carries a woman’s name
A few years ago, at an event in my former restaurant, everyone was congratulating the chef on a spectacular soup. When I passed the compliment along, the cook (a woman of singular character and brilliant humour) let out a sarcastic laugh: “I made that soup. I am the cook, but he is the chef just because he is a man.”
